I still use subtle on a daily base, but over the years I got a bit tired of the code base and just did the occasional fixes. This never included all the upstream changes of Ruby, so the project is in its current state quite unbuildable.

Instead of modernization I took the decision to actual rewrite it in Rust and this is the current project along with the documentation.
